Marian Wiley, age 94, of 1504 Aldrich Avenue, died July 21, 2012, at the Ogden Manor in Ogden.
A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Randy Schon officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Marian was born in Carroll, Iowa, on June 22, 1918, the daughter of John and Beatrice (White) Welsh.
She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1936.
Marian married Galen Wiley in Boone on May 4, 1946.
Marian was a mother and a homemaker and in earlier years, she worked at the Ordnance Plant in Ankeny during World War II.
From 1966 to 1980, Marian worked in assembly at Bourns in Ames.
She enjoyed watching movies, doing word search puzzles, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.
Marian was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart and the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons William and Richard Wiley, and three sisters and their husbands. Marian is survived by her husband Galen of Boone; a daughter Shirley Wiley of Boone; three grandchildren Alex Wiley of Boone, Emily Haase and husband Paul of Pella, and Amanda Wiley of San Francisco, California; and a daughter-in-law Sara Wiley of Boone.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Wednesday from 3 until 8 p.m. where a Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m.
Visitation continues Thursday at the funeral chapel from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
In memory of Marian, memorials may be directed to the Church of the Sacred Heart or the American Cancer Society.
