Obituary for Eduardo Jose Rosa II

Eduardo Rosa, II, 73, of Boone, died on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Per his wishes, he has been cremated. There will be no formal services or calling hours.

Eduardo Rosa, II, was born on June 3, 1944 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the son of Eduardo Sr. and Gloria (Carromero) Rosa. He graduated from high school in 1963. After high school, he graduated from Iowa State University in 1980. Eduardo was united in marriage to Judy Kay Gallagher on June 9, 1965 in Yankton, South Dakota. He was a Transportation Logistics Manager for Cedar Rapids Steel Transportation until his wife, Judy, acquired multiple sclerosis and needed his care. He was her caretaker for over 16 years until her passing in June of 2013. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, smoking cigars, watching Iowa State and Minnesota Vikings football on TV, and being outdoors.

Eduardo is preceded in death by his wife and his father. He is survived by his children, Angelica Isabell and her husband, Brian of Hawaii, Liza Marie of Iowa, Anita Irene and her husband, Luis of Charlottesville, Virginia and Eduardo Jose Rosa, III, and his wife, Sheena, of Huxley; mother, Gloria Maria Rosa- Carromero of San Juan, Puerto Rico; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Jose Innocencio of Humacao, Puerto Rico, and a sister, Gloria Emilia of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
