Obituary for Terri Jones

Terri Jo Carpenter-Jones passed away on April 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Terri was born December 25, 1972 in Boone, Iowa and was a lifelong resident of Boone County. She was married to Matt Jones on February 11, 1995. They were married for 19 years. Terri Jo was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary of Boone, Iowa.

Terri Jo was a person who more often than not put others before herself. Her daughters were her pride and joy. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will be forever in our hearts.

Terri loved to be outside, especially when it was raining and storming. She loved animals, especially the squirrel that visited her home everyday. She loved The Golden Girls and The Silence of the Lambs. She spent her free time with her two daughters, Bailey and Laney and her boyfriend Danny. She also enjoyed making homemade crafts such as room spray, stained glass necklaces, as well as cooking unique recipes with a little Sriracha and a lot of love .

She is survived by her daughters, Bailey and Laney Jones; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Jerry Dutcher; her father and stepmother, Roger and Cindy Blank; her brother and his wife, Joey and Britta Blank; her boyfriend, Danny Sechrest; Grandmothers, Yvonne Tjernagel, Margaret Uthe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by grandfathers: Edward Snowgren, Joseph Uthe, Lyle Tjernagel; aunt Vicky Tenclay; and uncle Darrell Blank.
