Tim was born September 20, 1957 to Bernard and Marjorie (McVicker) Pepper in Ames. Tim was raised on a farm near Boone and graduated from United Community High School in 1975. On January 17,1975, he married Juli Boyd and together they had three children, Marjo, Josh and Reba.

Tim began his career working at grain elevators in Boone. He advanced in his career to become the general manager for ten years at Sutherland Farmers Co-op, then a grain merchandiser at United Western Co-op in Woodbine, as general manager at Remsen Farmers Co-op for ten years, and finally managed Cooperative Supply in Dodge, Neb. until his retirement.

Tim enjoyed collecting Co-op memorabilia, watching sporting events - especially the Green Bay Packers, Collie dogs (particularly his dog, Lady), antique shopping, dining out, traveling, and attending his grandkids' activities.

Tim never met a person that he couldn't have a conversation with and he always loved sharing his stories with others. He told his family often that he loved them and how proud he was of them. He had a liver transplant in May of 2006. Tim made sick look easy and never complained. He always said, "I'm so blessed."

He is survived by Juli Pepper; his daughters, Marjo (Erik) Johnson of Elk Point, S.D., Reba (Mitchell) Arens of Remsen; his son Josh (Erica) Pepper of Remsen; six grandchildren, Victoria, Sophia, Hayes and Nash Johnson, and Cade and Max Pepper; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Loren Boyd; his nephew, Casey Ryan; two brothers, Michael and Jerry; his sister, Nancy; and an infant sister, Deborah.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall, on Monday December 12 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. The family will be present after 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, friends may call at the funeral chapel from 8:00 until 10 a.m.

Tim was a proud member of Saint Mary's Catholic Parish in Remsen where there will be a Memorial Mass in Tim's honor at a later date. Per his wishes, he will be buried in a Trappist casket built by Monks in Peosta, Iowa.
