Obituary for Lori Newcomb

Lori Newcomb, age 57, of Boone, died at the Eastern Star Masonic Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

Following her wishes, Lori will be cremated and a private family burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Moingona. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lori Ann Newcomb, was born August 7, 1961 to Norman and Helen (Carpenter) Newcomb in Boone. She graduated from Boone High School in 1979. After high school, she enlisted into the United States Army and served her country honorably until her discharge in 1983. After her service, Lori was a homemaker for her family.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, canning jelly and spending time with her cats. She was also a vendor at craft shows selling her canned goods. She had over 60 types of jellies she offered at the craft shows.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman and a nephew, Adam Newcomb.

Lori is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Kline and wife, Jessica and family, of Boone and Brandon Kline and friend, Victoria Schwab, of Boone; mother, Helen Newcomb of Boone; two brothers, Monte Newcomb and friend, Lori Shaw, of Boone and Andy Newcomb and wife, Darci, of Boone; three nephews, Joel, Nolen and Parker Newcomb and a niece, Kameryn Newcomb.

The family would like to thank the Eastern Star Masonic Home for the care and support that they showed Lori and her family during her time at the home.
