Obituary for Ronald 'Ron' Bayes

Ronald Bayes, age 61 of Boone, died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his home.

Following Ron's wishes, he has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 3 pm until 5 pm at the Colorado Grill in Boone. Private family burial of his cremains will be held at a later date.

Ronald “Ron” Wayne Bayes, was born in Banning, California on January 17, 1958, the son of Donald Harold and Elaine Delores (Cass) Bayes. He graduated from Apple Valley Senior High School in Apple Valley, California in 1976. After high school, Ron enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably until his discharge. He graduated from Victor Valley College in Victorville, California with his certificate in welding.

Ron worked as a welder at AB Salvage in Boone, Iowa. He enjoyed driving in demolition derby’s and model trains.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald, and brother, Jon Douglas Bayes.

Ron is survived by his mother, Elaine Bayes of Apple Valley, California; companion, Tonya Conine of Boone; brothers, Raymond “Ray” Bayes of Oxnard, California and William “Bill” Bayes and his wife, Maria, of Phelan, California and two nephews, Nicolas Bayes of Phelan, California and Justin Bayes of Glendora, California.

In memory of Ron, memorials may be directed to the family.
