Obituary for Cedric Guy Hall

Cedric Guy Hall, age 87 of Ames formerly of Boone, died October 13, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Per his wishes, Cedric has been cremated and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sparks Cemetery, Southwest of Boone, Iowa.

Cedric Guy Hall was born in Boone, Iowa, on October 7, 1930, the son of Guy and Beulah (Jones) Hall. He graduated from Boone High School in Boone in 1948. On June 2, 1951 he was united in marriage to Helen Springer in Boone at the Christian Church. He worked as a Truck Driver for Fareway for over 43 years until his retirement in 1993. In his retirement, he became an RV Tech for Twin Anchors RV Center. Cedric enjoyed playing guitar and singing, camping and wintering in Texas with Helen. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Cedric is survived by his wife, Helen of Ames; four children, Becky (Nick) Caskey of Ames, Brian (Penny) Hall of Shellsburg, Iowa, Brent (Christine) Hall of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Blake (Sandra) Hall of Omaha Nebraska; twelve grandchildren, Jason Caskey of Ames, Ryan (Jennifer) Caskey of Boone, Jonathan (Mary) Caskey of France, Kristi (Raman) Sinha of Lafayette, Colorado, David Hall of Shellsburg, Amber Hall of Ottawa, Canada, Sarah Hall of Kansas City, Missouri, Lyssa (Pete) Kirwan of Gardner, Kansas, Jordan Hall of Rantoul, Kansas, Amy (Derek) Wikoff of Fort Collins, Colorado, Ethan (Sadie) Hall of Springfield, Nebraska and Stefanie Hall of Omaha, Nebraska; eight great-grandchildren, Marshall Caskey, William Caskey, Mackenzie and Jeffrey Hall, Manna and Canon Kirwan, Henry Wikoff and Chloe Hall and sister, Doris Eastlund of Boone.
