Obituary for Lori Kae Scofield

Lori Scofield, age 52 of Ogden, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Following her wishes, Lori has cremated. A Celebration of Lori's Life will be Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Boone County Historical Center (lower level), 602 Story Street in Boone. A brief service will be at 1:30 p.m.

Lori Kae Scofield was born in Ogallala, Nebraska on January 29, 1965, the daughter of Ervin and Marjorie (Snare) Scofield. She graduated from Ogalla High School . Moving to Iowa, Lori graduated from PCI (Professional Cosmetology Institute) in Ames.
In earlier years, Lori taught at PCI and then worked for State Beauty Supply in Des Moines. She later worked as a purchasing secretary for Fareway Stores in Boone, retiring in 2014 due to her health.

Lori was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan, enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, reading, listening to music, and enjoyed her pet dogs. She also enjoyed Social Media and Facebook and vacation trips to Lake Ogallala in Nebraska.

She is preceded in death by her father. Lori is survived by two sons, Trey (Jessica) Price of Des Moines and Tristan Torres of Boone; a daughter, Tegan Musser of Boone; her fiancé, Fredrick Shelton of Ogden; her mother, Marjorie Scofield of Ogallala, Nebraska; a brother, Mark Scofield of Loveland, Colorado; a sister Denise (Kirk) Armstrong of Elkhorn, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Sophia and Noan.
