Obituary for Frances Trembly

Frances Trembly, age 90, of the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, Iowa died on February 19, 2019 at the Home.

A Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2019, from 1 until 3 p.m., at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall, in Boone. The family will be present during this time. Following the visitation, Fran will be cremated and a Memorial Service and burial of her cremains, will be held at a later date.

Frances Elizabeth (Keesey) Trembly, was born on May 2, 1928 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent P. and Mildred (Stewart) Keesey. She graduated from Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. On March 28, 1953, Fran married William Clark Trembly, Jr. in Drexel Hill.

Fran received her BS Degree in Biology from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa and her RN Degree, with geriatrics specialization, from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa Fran was a devoted mother, wife, and the perfect pastor’s wife, who followed her husband, who was a United Methodist minister, and helped him serve many churches throughout Iowa.

She enjoyed reading, especially James Michener novels, and was a member of the United Methodist Women, PEO, and TTT’s. Fran loved to sing, and was classically trained. She turned down a Metropolitan Opera internship to attend college instead. Fran sang in many church choirs and was a member of the Sweet Adelines in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She also worked as a nurse in many communities and worked as a Charge Nurse at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge before she retired.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Isaac Wishman.

Frances is survived by her husband, Bill, of Boone; three daughters, Christine Beyer and husband, David of Del Rio, Texas, Barbara Wishman and husband, Russell of Boone, and Sharon Browning and husband, Barry of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her sister, Ann Crothers and husband, Sam of Powhatan, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Edward Beyer, Franklin Beyer and wife, Judy, Amy Nalan and husband Jamey, Adam Wishman and husband, Chris, Cody Wishman, Nathaniel Wishman, and Benjamin Wishman, Josie Browning and Andrew Browning; and two great grandchildren, Emily and Micah Nalan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
